【Kowa】 Elpain Kowa α 24 tablets

A menstrual pain relief medication designed based on the physiology of menstruation.
Two active ingredients effectively relieve ‘cramping pain’ and ‘menstrual pain accompanied by loose bowels’.
One tablet per dose; contains no drowsiness-inducing ingredients.

【Indications and Effects】
Menstrual pain (primarily when accompanied by loose stools and lower abdominal pain)

【Directions for Use】
Take the following dosage with water or warm water when symptoms appear, preferably not on an empty stomach.
Wait at least 4 hours between doses.
・Adults (15 years and older): 1 tablet per dose, up to 2 times per day. ※However, a third dose may be taken if symptoms reappear.
・Children under 15 years: Do not administer

【Precautions】

1. The following individuals should not take this medication
(1) Individuals who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients.
(2) Individuals who have experienced asthma after taking this medication, other antipyretic analgesics, or cold medications.
(3) Children under 15 years of age.
(4) Individuals receiving treatment or medication for the following conditions at a medical institution:
Gastric or duodenal ulcers, blood disorders, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, hypertension, or those currently receiving zidovudine (Retrovir).
(5) Pregnant women within 12 weeks of their expected delivery date.
(6) Individuals diagnosed with glaucoma.
2. Do not take any of the following medications while taking this product:
Fever reducers/pain relievers, cold medicines, sedatives, gastrointestinal pain relievers/antispasmodics, gastrointestinal medicines containing Rotundin extract, motion sickness medicines
3. Do not operate vehicles or machinery after taking this medicine
(Symptoms such as blurred vision or abnormal sensitivity to light may occur.)
4. Do not drink alcohol before or after taking this medicine.
5. Do not use continuously for long periods.

(5) Persons with the following symptoms: Difficulty urinating
(6) Persons diagnosed with the following conditions: Heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, bronchial asthma
(7) Persons with a history of the following diseases: Stomach or duodenal ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, blood disorders, liver disease, kidney disease

・Circulatory System: Palpitations
・Respiratory: Shortness of breath
・Urinary: Difficulty urinating
・Other: Blurred vision, ringing in the ears, swelling, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, slow bleeding, bleeding, back pain, fatigue, abnormal sensitivity to light, hot flashes
Rarely, the following serious symptoms may occur. If they do, seek immediate medical attention.

・Shock (Anaphylaxis): Immediately after taking the medication, symptoms such as skin itching, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, throat itching, shortness of breath, palpitations, or confusion may appear.
・Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN): High fever, eye redness, eye discharge, lip sores, sore throat, widespread skin rash/redness persist or worsen rapidly.
・Liver dysfunction: Symptoms include fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), brown urine, general fatigue, and loss of appetite.
・Kidney dysfunction: Fever, rash, decreased urine output, generalized swelling, general fatigue, joint pain (pain in the joints), diarrhea, etc.
・Aseptic meningitis: Severe headache with neck stiffness, fever, nausea/vomiting, etc. (These symptoms are particularly frequently reported in people receiving treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus or mixed connective tissue disease.)
・Myocardial infarction: Symptoms include crushing chest pain, shortness of breath, and cold sweats.
・Cerebrovascular accident: Symptoms appear suddenly, including decreased or lost consciousness, difficulty moving one side of the body, headache, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty speaking, and trouble finding words.
・Asthma: Symptoms include wheezing or whistling sounds when breathing and shortness of breath.
・Aplastic anemia: Bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, fever, pale skin or mucous membranes, fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, hematuria.
・Agranulocytosis: Sudden high fever, chills, sore throat.
・Gastrointestinal disorders: Symptoms may include black stools, vomiting blood, bloody stools, or mucus-blood stools (soft stools containing blood, mucus, and pus).
3. If you experience symptoms such as excessive drop in body temperature, collapse (loss of strength), or cold extremities (cold hands and feet) after taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson with this package insert.
4. The following symptoms may occur after taking this medication. If these symptoms persist or worsen, stop taking it and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson with this package insert.
・Constipation, dry mouth
5. If symptoms do not improve after taking 3 to 4 doses, stop taking this medication and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson with this package insert.
(There is a possibility that menstrual pain is caused by some uterine disorder.)
